How do I return?

  • Enter your email address and order number in the fields above and click Start.
  • Follow the instructions and select the items you want to return/exchange.
  • You will receive return instructions and a return label via email after the return request is approved.


What items are returnable?

Full priced items can be exchanged or returned for a refund to original payment minus shipping costs, if back in store within 14 days from receipt of your shipment. After 14 days, full price items will receive a store credit.

Sale items can be returned for store credit only, if back in store within 14 days from receipt of your shipment. After 14 days sale items will be deducted a 15% restocking fee.

  • Items out of store 30 days or more are non-refundable and not eligible for return
  • Items must be unused and in original condition
  • For clothing, unworn and unwashed and free of any odor including detergents, deodorants or perfumes
  • Items MUST have all tags attached and be in original packaging. Items received without original tags attached are not eligible for refund or store credit
  • NO EXCHANGES ON SALE ITEMS: Any sale order placed online and returned will be given a store credit regardless if the customer placed another order.
  • Due to our limited quantities, The Startingate will not hold other items while we wait for the return of your sale item.

If you do not think your package will arrive within the 14 day return window using our label, you can choose to express ship it yourself. Per our return policy, The Startingate is not responsible for any late returns due to shipping couriers or the customers delay in shipment.


Are there any charges for return?

  • Returns will be deducted $15 if using our the return label.
  • Ski Boot returns using our label will be deducted $35.00.
  • Return for free using your own carrier.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.


How soon will I get my refund?

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to original form of payment, within 10 working days.
  • Sale item returns will receive a gift card via email the day the return is approved for the amount of the returned items, less the shipping costs. The store credit is valid up to one year.
  • If your order was paid using a gift card, the gift card will be refunded and able to be used again immediately.
